Marina Coordinator

An opportunity exists within the Commercial section of Gladstone Ports Corporation to manage the Marina facility for GPC.  The Marina is an independent operation within the organisation.

The Marina Coordinator will manage, control and monitor the Gladstone Marina within the Marina precinct and port limits.  The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Managing and coordinating the marina services and facilities
  • Coordinating a First Strike Response Team
  • Setting and developing the strategic direction for the Marina facility
  • Controlling and managing assets for the Marina facility
  • Controlling and managing capital and refurbishment projects for the Marina facility
  • Preparing budgets and managing financial resources

The person we are seeking will have relevant experience in managing a commercially viable entity with proven leadership and supervisor experience.  Thorough knowledge of all relevant state and local government legislation and marine transport regulations is also required.  It is desirable that the candidate would have a business qualification and previous marina management experience.  The holding of a Restricted Coxswain ticket would also be highly considered.
