Boatshare and Syndication Division

The Boatshare and Boat Syndication Division was formed at the Brisbane Boat Show in 2008 in response to the rapidly increasing popularity for this type of ownership within the boating community.

The growth in this sector has also been recognised by Government with the release of a discussion paper within the State on the regulation of the sector.  Similarly, discussion papers were also released in NSW and via the NMSC nationally.

There is a fairly diverse range of boatshare and syndication options throughout the state and it is important that the regulatory environment recognises this diversity.

Priority items for the division include:

- Further negotiations with government on regulatory reform and

- Development of an industry led accreditation program.
