QLD Marina Division

Our Mission is to support and protect the interests of the Marina Industry in Queensland and to be an aid to their growth and development. Our aims include advancing the development of the Marina Industry; to encourage best practice management; to aid in the handling of environmental, government and industry regulations; to encourage marketing and promotion of our states’ marinas; to protect the industry from unfair criticism and unfair regulation.

We work to provide a regular forum for consideration of these matters including assisting in ensuring regulatory matters and relevant codes of practice are feasible in the first instance and accepted in the second. We also provide a regular forum for consideration of significant matters and common interest.

The past year has been excellent with the implementation of regular “Chairs Meetings” where the various Chairmen of the groups under the umbrella of Marine Queensland pool their thoughts and experience. These meetings, plus the Chair being present at any meeting with government officials regarding marina activities, has made a tremendous difference ‘moving mountains’ on our Divisions behalf.
